Be ready for re-medical
Processing times at islamabad
12 months for 70% cases

Its quite possible that you may sneak through however like stated 70% get through in 12 months

Be patient and wait and see what happens...you in fact have to wait for the request for medical redo YOU CANNOT be proactive and redo by your self....

Best of luck...oh by the way is there any NON accompaning chidren on your applicaiton ?

Because if there is they will have to redo as well....

Alot of specualtion regarding this and i have come to the final answer because it happened to me on our file out of Kingston Jamaica

All of our non accompaning children have to redo medical in order for my husband to get PR

thnx everyone @ LONELY CANADAIAN WIFEY

they usually stamp visa's entry with expired date - the date you passed your medicals. I doubt they will give you two weeks entry visa, so it's quite possible they will ask you to update your medicals.

Your cousin filed his case in 2007 when processing time for family class spousal cases was less than 6 months.
Now average processing time for 80% cases is 14 months. As CHC in Islamabad started processing your application in April 2009, you should expect a decision in June 2010

Thnx everyone
I have high hopes as i m an optimist however with ur kind output i m going to apply 4 a job now so that i shud get lil busy n this terrible wait period shud get lil easier thnx once again wish u all best of luck

My medicals were to expire in mid-November, I got my visa on November 5 (issue date late October), and it had an expiration date of mid-May next year.

THANKS ALOT @ KARLSHAMMAR
that really gave me a breath for time being so it means i can prolong my wait to 6th of january n can get response at any time wish u v best of luck

No problem, Asimkhan!

I can't guarantee that things will be the same for you, but that was my experience.

Hi Karlshammar ,i was wondering about the visa issue
i have redone my Meds it expires on 20.02.2010,so as you said below your Meds were expire on mid November
but you had in the bigining of the months and its been valid for another 6 months
so in my understandings ,they need at least 2 weeks till Meds or Passport expiry date ?
i hope you will understand how much inpatiant i am ,its been alredy 2 years since my process

Hi kingtreek,

I don't know the exact dates they use, to be honest. All I know is my own experience, which is the one I detailed above. I'm not sure if it varies depending on visa office, officer, or anything else, or if it is a general rule.
