I'm currently in a situation where I'm going to court which involves a child who is going to be one next month and we agreed to go to mediation. The things to consider is we were together but broke up in 2020 of march while I was pregnant when I arrived back to Canada from Spain we agreed at the time I was going to sponsor him here in Canada regardless for the sake of our child. He's from Italy and is here in Ontario, Canada on a visitor visa. We got into a dispute to the point the Police were involved but no changes were made just a police report because of this end incident I decided not to continue to sponsor him. Now we are going to court and we recently agreed to do mediation. He says he wants to stay in Canada to take care of our child financial and wouldn't be able to do so in Italy because of the hint with the virus. I am considering sponsoring but only if mediation is set and final just to protect myself if we get into an dispute like last time. But he says based on immigration lawyers he's talked that we should scrap the whole court and mediation and just sponsor him because if we wait until after mediation immigration is going to see he was in court and they won't accept him for sponsorship.
I feel pressured just because I have a child with him.

It's just I feel very pressured just because we have a child.I tried to suggest for him to go to school get a trade something but he doesn't want to do anything. I can't think of anything else for him to try applying for.

You can’t it’s not an option. You would be committing a crime called immigration fraud. You could get into serious trouble if you commit immigration fraud.

He is not your responsibility and the lawyers suggesting you sponsor him are crooked lawyers. He is an adult and will have to explore his options when it comes to remaining in Canada.

You decide to sponsor him, be aware that you will be financially responsible for your husband for 3 years from the time he becomes a PR. This means that if he goes on social assistance at any point during this time, you will be responsible for paying this money back to the government. This can easily amount to tends of thousands of dollars.
