Hello,

I am starting this thread for all those who are interested in MBA once they receive their PR.
Most of us are working and it will be a big decision for us to leave our jobs and opt for an MBA.

Lets discuss all the aspects and options we have.

Few things with which we can start:
1. What is the fee structure (PR)
2. Do we need to give GMAT
3. Top Canadian universities etc

Look forward to your support and cooperation.

Thanks

I am planning to do my MBA once i receive my PR.

Let me know your comments.

1. The fee structure is different from university to university. You will have to check the school web sites to see what the fee structure will be for the schools you are interested in attending. As a PR, you will pay domestic student fees.
2. Almost all MBA programs in Canada require the GMAT.
3. Here's one ranking: http://www.canadianbusiness.com/lists-and-rankings/top-10-canadian-mba-schools/?gallery_page=2#gallery_top

Thanks for your detailed info.

I have total of 5.7 years of Exp and I am PMP and Lean six sigma green belt certified associate. I will also complete my Lean six sigma black belt by June end.
I have one year of exp in toronto and currently waiting for my PR.

I am planning to go to a school in 2016.

Will start GMAT prep from Aug2014 and hope I give my exam by Jan2015.

Any suggestions from your side will be highly appreciated.

Thanks again

Lets start a discussion on colleges, GMAT score etc.!!

take a statistics course. that's the basis of the GMAT math section. choose a specialized program, not a general management program.

and if there are even specific tracks for the specialty, pick one! employers look for people with specializations, not people who can do general work!

I agree. I am targeting Ivey, Schulich, Rotman.

good luck! if i had taken economics and statistics before the gmat instead of after to meet a prerequesite, i would have done SO much better!

Got my PPR today. One step closer to PR and one step closer to MBA..!

Any one there who is planning to do MBA from canada post PR.?

Let's connect and start our preparations.

Unfortunately, PGWP holders who need a new work permit now need to follow the same rules for an LMO...
