Hi All

I have applied for Canadian Immigration in Sep 2014 and got a reply last week in which they wrote that I am not meeting the criteria.I ve got 66 points . points assessed are given below:

Points assessed Maximum

Age 8 12

Education 23 25

Official language proficiency 22 28

Arranged employment 0 10

Experience 13 15

Adaptability 0 10

TOTAL 66 100

I would like to tell that I have got 5yrs 9 months full time professional experience as University Professor at the time of applying and got 13 out 15 in experience point. Now i want to know that can i claim or request for atleast 1 point bcs there is only 3 months difference between 6 yrs for which i may get 15l15 and also when i received reply I ve completed my 6 yrs . I think i deserve the eligibilty for immigration as I am a qualified professional and may contribute in Canadian economic growth.

Please assist me in this regard . I would b very gratefull

looking forward for a positive response.

I think they might consider the points only when you applied, but you can ask them providing your clarification.
Rest its upto them if they want to consider the application.

All the best.

No - you certainly cannot request the additional point. You either have at least 6 years of experience at the time you applied or you don't. You didn't have 6 years of experience and there was no error in the number of points you were assigned.

Unfortunately it doesn't matter what you think you deserve. You either have sufficient points or you don't. CIC won't give you credit for 6 years of experience.

Unfortunately you may not be able appeal against the decision because as per FSW rules the points at the time of receipt of application are considered and according to that at the time they received your application you were short of one point.

when u weren't fulfilling the required points........how in the 1st place you even thought of applying for immigration?

then u sent the application in hopes of proceeding forward.......but as it was inevitable.....it naturally came back.......now ur chance is only in EE.
