I m an international student. It is stated that I can work 20 hours a week. What should I do if I am given 25 hours shift for one week. Is it fine or I should leave the job.

In theory your employer could be said to be breaking the terms of your student visa although if just one week i guess is a matter of concience for yourself whether you do the one week over hours or not .Might cause issues in the future if applying for pgwp or pr should you need to show payslips for any reason.

CIC will say that the student is breaking the terms of their study permit. It's not the employer's responsibility to ensure the study permit terms are met - this is entirely on the student. Working over 20 hours a week is illegal work. It could result in issues with the PGWP - it could also result in issues with the study permit validity and result in the study permit being canceled and the student being forced to leave Canada.

I agree, maybe i could have worded a bit better and focussed on the ramifications of any such decision by the OP.
