Maximum time to stay outside canda with PR

Hi all .I did landing and got my PR on March 2016 then I went back to my country since that time I didnot went again to CANADA my friend told me that I shouldnot stay outside Canada for more than 6 months in case he is correct what should I do as I am planing to go next FEB

There is no six month rule. Ignore your friend - he doesn't know what he's talking about.

To keep you PR status - you must live in Canada for two out of every five years.

Just to add that hopefully the OP has their PR card to be able to travel back next February.
