Maximum processing time for Global Talent Stream Visa?

I know that the Global Talent Steam Visa for Canada has a standard processing time of 2 weeks, but in some cases it takes more than that to get an approval. So, I wanted to know if there is a maximum processing time in which they let you know or does it get delayed for an arbitrary amount of time? e.g. my application was submitted on 25 June, but it's still in background check.

Also, is there a way to expedite the process? Because the hiring company also starts getting anxious after some time.

There is no way to expedite the process.

The two week processing time is just an estimate and it's not at all unusual for processing to take several months. There's technically no maximum.

It is incredibly dependent on your application. Assessment of applications were also much more lax in 2019 vs currently.
