Dear All,

I am an IT professional working in a reputed organization in India,I completed my B.E degree in 2008 (actually I should have completed in 2006 but had loads of arrears ;D ;D). After 8 years now, I am planning to get a Masters degree in Computer Science. When I contacted IDP educations in Chennai, they said that the VISA rejection are higher and given my experience I have a sure chance of VISA rejection because with my experience, I will be considered as a potential Immigrant.
I wanted to confirm from you admins and other users if that is the case?
Is it also true that even if I get an acceptance letter from reputed Universities, I have a fair chance of my VISA getting rejected?
Will there be any consideration in VISA if I assure that I won't be taking my wife and kid to Canada.

Thanks all

I am also mature student and waiting visa. According to consultant I may get chance to read and applied.

What the consultant said in my opinion is true. If they think that you are a potential immigrant then they would most surely look at your application in the light of dual intent. However if you leave your wife and kid in your home country, you will definitely win in the arena of strong ties to home country. So If I were you, I would apply with that strategy.

Oh, and also, please put in a strong SOP.

Dear Kartheish
You wait for a while because what will be in my situation like same as your and I will inform you definitely.

I'l share my experience..

I'm a software engineer in India. 2007 passout, 7 years experience and married. Will be moving to Canada this fall along with my wife to do Masters in CS. Applied for SP for myself and SOWP for wife. Both are APPROVED. Also i would like to mention that I applied on my own without any help of consultant or lawyer.

So bottom line is -get admission in desired university, prepare strong application. Rest will fall in line.
Hope this helps.
