Hi,

Do we need to get the bachelor's degree evaluated by ECA as well in case someone has done Masters?

You only need to get the Masters evaluated.

you need to send all degrees including Bachelor and Master,
they will evaluate the equivalency of the degree.

This is wrong information.

If you have a Masters Degree - you ONLY need to get the Masters degree evaluated.

This is assuming you have chosen one Educational Credential Evaluation Scheme while making a payment to WES.

As far as CIC is concerned - they will only grant you points for your highest level of education. Therefore getting your bachelors degree evaluated is redundant.

Sir,
either i mis-understood or you are wrong?

if he/she has Bachelor Degree and after that he/she has master as well....!

please explain how WES will evaluate ONLY master degree?

when he/she will send ONLY master degree for evaluation to WES then he/she will wait forever but will never receive any ECA report.

to receive ECA report one must send all his/her educational credentials to WES, then after evaluating, WES will decide whether the SAID master degree is equivalent Canadian Master or Bachelor. so point will be based on ECA report, not on the basis of one's own claims.

please correct me if i am wrong?

EDITED: This is assuming you have chosen one Educational Credential Evaluation Scheme while making a payment to WES.

no this not right, for WES , they have different options, but if you want to apply for FSW then you need to select FSW 2014 ECA (Full Package) - remember FSW 2014 Package is different from their other products, so please don't get confused, select FSW ECA Package, and then they will require your all education documents to evaluate your education. after considering all credentials they will issue ECA report which will indicate your level of education.

for example some applicant from different countries have 16 years education with Master Degree, so WES evaluate 16 years Master degree , usually, equivalent to Canadian Bachelor.

hope i t will make confusion clear.

Hi F_S_W

My first question to you is have you got your WES Assessment Completed? If Yes, can you please share what credential did you get evaluated and from which country ?

I got my WES assessment completed 3 Months back. My Highest qualification is Bachelors Degree from a Univ in India.

I only sent the following documents for evaluation purpose:

- University Transcript for my Bachelors Degree (Sealed and In Original).
- Copies of University Mark-sheets (Bachelors)
- Copies of University Degree Certificate (Bachelors)
- Copy of WES Payment Receipt.

I did NOT send my Secondary School documents. For FSW you only need to get your highest qualification evaluated. You don't need to provide CIC with an ECA report summarizing ALL your educational qualifications because for the points based system it simply does not matter.

If you hold a Master's Degree which was awarded by a University (and the Univ is recognized by WES) it is implied that a Bachelor's Degree will be a pre-requisite prior to being awarded the Masters Degree.
