Hey..

I am on post grad work permit. And my spouse is here with me on (spouse) work visa, which was applied on my dependance. And also I've applied already for PR under CEC category in August. I had a court registered marriage in May, before putting my PR file. So I'v already added my spouse as my dependant in my file. Now our parents has arranged our marriage on a ritual basis, with all celebrations n stuff. So if we go to homecountry for that then would that be problematic to us? Either while crossing the border or coming back??
My spouse has the status as married already in his work permit file. My status would be still single in my post grad work permit. I've mentioned my status as married in my PR file though. So should I still notify my status as married to CIC, so that they can change it in my work permit file??
Thanks for your help..!!

your status has already been changed in cic document , you need not to get a new work permit.

Ans there is no problem going back home and coming back but at both airports you should show that you guys are married already.

You can do your ceremonies and stuff then come back . there shouldn't be a problem.

Carry your original marriage certificate while traveling back home. Immigration officers at airport might want to look that as proof.
