Hello, me and my husband were married yesterday actually, we are trying to submit an extension application imm5708e and upon looking at the pictures of our license that has already been sent off his middle name is misspelled from Mitchel to Michael. Concerned if this will be an issue, I’ve already called where we filed our license and got married and they said there is nothing they can do. Do we just include a letter explaining the clerical error on the application?
Additionally, will the marriage license and Record of Solemnization work as “proof of family”? On the application? We won’t get the official paperwork back for another 8-12 weeks and that’s if the middle name doesn’t cause issues and bounces it back and I otherwise have to leave by January, we were hoping for an extension to wait for that so we could begin my PR sponsorship once we receive the official marriage certificate.
For the application do I include his funds and bank statements? I’m a homemaker coming from the United States. Can you submit multiple letters/files? We only see the option for 1. How do we include additional files? Letters?
