Married after Visa Issued. Visa Validity expiring soon.

VO request for return of passport w visa&copr and requirements such as additional fsm member form and proof of relationship: Jan 2017

I am very anxious of this as my maximum visa validity is April 2017.

Anyone who experience the same? I did not know changing to married status will be this complicated even tho the partner is nonaccompanying.

I would like to ff up my papers with the embassy in makati. How on earth they do not answer the phone 8579000?

You are still well within normal times for adding a spouse. It takes many months, as IRCC needs to review the new forms and perform all of the necessary security and background checks.

They will either extend your medical or require you to do another one.

What does extending medical means?

We did submit the forms and questionnaires required, however since we were just given 15 days to submit, we just submitted a local employment nbi. I just emailed them scanned copy after we have the new travel abroad nbi. Also, i did not include the passport as i need it for pending US embassy interview. I wrote them letter of explanation why the lack of 2 requirement. I am still waiting for their response. How would I know if they have started processing this changes?

Does it mean i am not able to land canada before the visa expiration this april 2017?

The validity of the COPR/visa is generally one year from the medical. As it will most likely take a few more months to process the addition of your spouse, your medical will probably expire. IRCC will then either extend your medical for another year or require you to undergo another medical.

I am waiting for their response because i did not submit back my passport as I need it for a reason. I asked if i may be given extension for submission of my passport . Also the release of NBI clearance was a litle later, just before my 15 days deadline. I attached letter of explanation why I did not submitted this two documents and also I sent them email, scanned copy of newly released nbi of husband. In my email I asked for how I can submit as to follow the valid NBI of husband. I still did not receive reply from them.
