Marriage on student visa | after visa submission

I am currently studying in Canada on a student visa. For the next fall, my gf has also received her admit for another university in Canada. She will be coming to Canada next fall. However, our parents wants us to marry before she leaves from India. She will apply for visa in may may we are planning to get married in July. My question is it okay to get married after visa submission? Do we need to inform visa officer before she arrives here? Or we can do the legal work like changing names on passport after coming here?

It will just get complicated. If possible get married before applying for visa or after reaching Canada at a later date.
