Hello everyone,
I am living in BC and i am a permanent residence since nov 2016. But now i am facing alot of problems regarding our spousal understandings. My husband dont allow me to do job, not even yo learn driving, not allow to study further(i done my graduation in pharmacy from my homeland), he ignored my all such questions by saying u can do this all but not yet.he blocked me even on internet at home by saying i dnt know what happened..he tortured me mentally by saying i am idiot, stupid, moron, liar, fakeand selfish.he behave rudely and do not talk to me.he went to work early in the morning and came back in the evening and whole day i am locked in house because he did not give me the keys..he locked me in the house for 3 days and went for work to other city..he did not give me sim card or internet so i can contact with anyone..my parents talk to me on his phone. I dont know what to do i just feel like i am prisoner...today i find internet so requested you guys so guide me by true and authentic advice.tell me the solution.
Thanks alot

I don’t know if this is the best place to find a solution to your dilemma. However, if your situation is as bad as you have indicated, you should be seeking for help ASAP with the appropriate persons ...by which I mean starting with your wider family circle (any trustworthy person to whom your husband will listen to?) and then escalating to other proper authorities, if required.

There are women's shelters and community groups that may be able to help. I am making an assumption that you may be muslim based on your last name but I know there are social workers and imams who deal with marriage issues as well as they have women's shelters that cater to muslim women's needs. Not sure where you live but I have attached some links. Best of luck!

This is very disturbing for me to hear. Locking a person in a house against their will is very dangerous and is likely a criminal offense. Consider what would happen if there is a fire?
