To all of you who decide to par take in a marriage for personal gain...to gain access to different countrys, for wealth, or anything like that... and DO THE WEDDING ROUNDS AROUND SRI GURU GRANTH SAHIB.
You are making the biggest mistake in your life.
GURU GRANTH SAHIB IS NOT JUST A HOLY BOOK. SRI GURU GRANTH SAHIB IS A GURU

when your doing the wedding rounds SIKH relgion in the presence of this GURU
its very importaant to understand what each round means. what marriage is. what the importance is.

if god wanted you to be in canada or be anything other then what you are...it wouldve been different.

belive me or not. but you are DECIEVEING GURU GRANTH SAHIB. by doing marriage of convenience.

you will be PUNISHED, becuase this is a SIN

THIS GIRL. , she got married just to come to canada, her visa was denied, she appealed 3 times. finally got it....it took over 3 years, and now shes here she has no LOVE NO HUSBAND, and now has to wait another 3 years and be alone. a JUST TO GO BACK AND GET MARRIED and by that time she will be 30 years + and will have a hard time finding a proper suitor and her jawani is no longer ....

ANYWAYS. this is my opinion.
and love only comes once...and nobody forgets there first true love.

Although I agree in general, I gotta voice my disapproval about this:

Not sure what a jawani is, but also a woman 30 years and older can easily find a husband ;D (I'll be 32 at the time of my wedding 8))

Yep. I just took it to be a culture thing.

this basically goes for all SIKH who have weddings in a GURDWARA IN THE PRESENCE OF GURU GRANTH SAHIB

giving awareness that...if you go into a marriage for fraud..convenience..and you do the 4 rounds around the sacred GURU GRANTH SAHIB

•First Laav: Asserts that marriage is encouraged as the best state of life for a Sikh.
•Second Laav: Conveys the awakening feelings of love a bride has when leaving her former life, and beginning a new life in partnership with her husband.
•Third Laav: Declares the bride's detachment from the world and outside influences, while becoming more deeply devoted to her husband wishing only to live for him.
•Fourth Laav: Describes a spiritual union of love and devotion where no feeling of separation is possible, imparting perfect joy, and contentment.
Upon completion of the fourth round, the bride and groom are considered to be man and wife.

there will be a penalty.

Jawani means youth. It is a cultural thing- I guess what he is trying to say is that those doing marriages of convenience should realize it is wrong. I think this specifically refers to sikh indians because that's the religion mentioned. And when those people get here they have to wait 3 years before they can sponsor someone else and by that time they lose their youth and cant find someone to marry. LOL that is my translation for you....

the jawani thing is not the issue

I understand what you mean though, but unfortunately it's something we can't change. Those who are marrying to get visas will be held accountable for that decision at some point, there will always be someone who will take advantage though.

then what are you trying to say?

No.. you are right. Jawani 4 din ki chandni hai, mazey ley lo (I think its an old indian song).. lol

He's trying to say that people who marry for convenience should realize that (especially those sikhs marrying in their gurdwara which is their place of worship) they will be held accountable for that and they are deceiving the Lord by taking the false oath...and not understanding the religious implications of taking marriage for granted just to get a visa.

Sikh Marriage Ceremony

The Sikh marriage is not merely a physical and legal relationship but is a holy union between two souls where physically they appear as two individual bodies but in fact are united as one. The Sikh marriage ceremony is also known as Anand Karaj meaning “blissful union”. Anand Karaj consists of the couple revolving around Guru Granth Sahib Ji four times as the Lavan (Marriage Hymns) are being recited. Revolving is the sign of making commitment with the Guru as a witness. In addition, revolving signifies that Guru is the center of the couple’s life and springs life and the understanding of the journey of the soul crossing this world to be One with God. During the marriage ceremony, Guru Granth Sahib Ji represents the core while the congregation (Sadh Sangat) represents the support.
