Hi,

For the proof of relationship to sponsor I am including my marriage invitation card to show that we held a marriage and invited people.

majority of the card (important stuff like date, place, time, invitees) is in English on the card but we also have some quotes (poems) on the card in traditional Indian language (Sanskrit). Do I need to translate this before I include in the application? It would be very hard to translate ancient text. Or can I just mention that these are poems that are very difficult to translate?

thank you!!

No, you don't need to translate it. They only ask for the card to ensure that the marriage was legit and had all the necessary documentation, which was completed.

Hope this helps!

Marriage invitation card should be given as is. No translations of any type required at all. Along with the card, I also suggest adding some photographs of the ceremony, reception etc.
