Marriage Certificate

Hi everyone, I'm new here!

I was wondering if anyone could help me with the answer to this question.

Do I need a copy of the marriage certificate before I apply for the spousal visa, or can I start the sponsorship application while waiting for it to be delivered since it takes so long!

If anyone could give me advice, it would be much appreciated!

Look at your country's guide. However, for the USA guide a certified copy of the marriage certificate was required and a part of the document check list. It had to be submitted all together with the application.
