Hi,

I got ITA on December 22. I am in canada and working. My wife is back home. She never came to canada.
In my earlier application of study/work permit , I entered my status as married.

Due to some issues, unfortunately, there is going to be a breakup. Now, e-APR wants me to enter information of wife. But wife is not going to co-operate. As I am going to divorce soon.

Divorce process, in back home takes a bit more than 90 days.

What should I do now, please suggest...

If I put my status in e-APR as married then I do not have her current contact information which I need to put in e-APR, in this case. As well as I need to put in e-APR why is she not accompanying me in Canada.

Is it possible that I put my status as Divorce ( but the problem is that Divorce document can not be obtained in 90 days), and write in LMO that I will submit divorce document as soon as I get it because divorce is in process?

Are you a PNP applicant or one with high CRS score? It might be worth it to decline the ITA near the 90 days period to get a new 90 days limit, if you are unable to obtain the divorce documents by then.

In the meanwhile, you need to start the divorce procedures immediately.

thank you BC4life.

My CRS score is just 476. So, not sure, if I would be selected again in any next draw the draw and work permit is also expiring in April 2017....

Try changing your application as "non-accompanying" spouse.

Provide LOE of why you are not including spouse in application.

You will still require to provide PCC and Medical for Spouse.

If somehow, my wife back home agrees to co-operate for now and I put her information (including her email & contact number and address of back home) in my e-APR then what CIC would need her to do?

would CIC send her any documents? (pls note she is not accompanying spouse)

Thank you Batman_is_Real,

She is already "non-accompanying spouse" in my EE profile ( so I would keep her as non-accompanying spouse in my e-APR as well).

But e-APR still want me to put her information including her email, contact number and address.

Does CIC still send "non-accompanying" spouse any documents. If yes then what kind of documents ?

I can write LOE and describe them this situation that divorce is in process but in this case how to get her contact information if she does not co-operate?

please suggest , what to do

is it possible that I initiate the divorce process but in the place of divorce document, for now, I just write/upload an LOE that divorce has been initiated and the divorce document will be available/provided as soon as available (3 months after divorce initiation) ?
