March Outland Applications

Hi all,

My husband and I just submitted an outland spousal sponsorship application from the US. It took us a while to get all the documents that we needed put together, and we're concerned that the FBI criminal background checks will expire at the end of this month. Does anyone know if CIC are going to request new background checks, or will they accept the ones we sent?

Also, does anyone know how the requesting the passport works and what they put into it? We included my passport book in our application, as I have a US passport card I can use still, and we thought it would speed up the processing time.

If they a new criminal background they will ask... It would be advisable to get a new one, so its ready if they request an updated one.... I wouldn't send my passport..but if its there... it may help... or they may just sent it back to you.... hopefully it will work in your advantage. Good luck.... I was so tired for a few days after I submitted the application of my wife... it drains so much energy to get everything ready..... no wonder why your criminal record is close to expire....
