Guys, I'm currently preparing my papers to apply in Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) under the generral Stream and I've got a news that the MPNP will be ended soon. I've tried to research regarding that news but I failed . Does anyone here knows the real news about this and please can you kindly provide a link to prove this issue?

Best regards guys.

Hi

I am not sure that is correct. Although the Canadian federal government made some changes in terms of financing immigration services in Manitoba and moving the some of their services to Calgary as part of cost reduction mechanism. I have not see such thing as ending the program. Most provinces in Canada run their PNP under which they tend to attract the required skills to their region.

Hi there. This rumor is not true. Manitoba is home to just around 1.3 million people. Around 700,000 lives in Winnipeg, the capital city. The land of Manitoba is so vast and it will take a long time before the province gets densely populated. The economy of the province, like the rest of Canada, is driven partly by successful immigration. MPNP is the 1st and most successful immigration program in Canada. There is no reason for Manitoba so discontinue its PNP. Check out the link to find out more information. Hope this helps!
