Mandatory Documents Required while filing the Application

Dear All

I understand from one of the consultants that IELTS, Police Clearance Certificate and Bank Statements can be submitted at a later stage. Is it true?

If this is true, then how should this be mentioned in the checklist document?

In addition to the above query:

One of my ex-company is not operative anymore and it looks like they have closed their shop. How should I prove my responsibilities in this case and what can be the impact of the background check?

Can I show Gold & Silver as my assets? If yes, do I have to show it as Fixed or Liquid? How to prove the value of the Gold? Do I need to submit any Ornament Valuation Certificate from an authorized Valuer?
Can I show my Car as my asset? If yes, do I have to show it as Fixed Asset or a Movable Asset? How to prove the value of the Car? Is there is valuation certificate required for this?

IELTS cannot be submitted later. If you do not submit IELTS with your original application - then your application will be automatically refused.

POF also cannot be submitted later and must be inlcuded with your original application. Without POF, your application will be refused.

Police certificates can be submitted later.

Do not work with the consultant who told you all of these things can be submitted later. He doesn't know what he's doing.

Closed companies Roles and responsibilities - i am not aware of this. Let someone answer this.Guess a previous manager in that company can give an authorized letter for this with roles and responsibilities.

Gold,silver,car is not a proof of fund but we hv to show it in assets...so do we hv to attach any documnts in support of this? Also do we hv to evaluate them from any goldsmith, car seller or what? This is really confusing

assets meaning is not physical assets. Like stocks,bond etc. You cannot show gold,car silver until u sell it and put it in bank account

Thanks a ton for the clarification and confirmation on this.

Yes, I am from India. The problem I am facing here is the pages in my current passport are exhausted and also there is a change in my current address though permanent address remains the same.

So if I apply for the Police Clearance Certificate, I am guessing that they would be mentioning my Passport Number in the certificate which will be very much different from the one I am going to get after applying.

Please let me know how to go about it.

Step 1- You need to apply for a new passport - Go for tatkal system.
Step 2 - Once its received ,go for PCC.


You cannot use current passport if it does not have active pages.

hi vijay,
when u apply for new passport, make sure u apply for 60 pages(Jumbo Passport). Its just 500rs extra.
