Hello everyone. I recently achieved a band score of 8.0 in IELTS and am targeting September 2020 intake and have applied to various colleges as well.

I want to enroll in a 2-year management course, preferably Marketing, Supply Chain or Global Business Management (Options are less so I had to diversify the choices). I heard somewhere that engineering students don't get admission to business courses in Canada. Is it true? Do you know of anyone who changes the field?

I have 16 months of work experience as a Marketing Executive as well.

if you have work experience you will get admission but the real problem will be getting your visa you will need to explain why after engineering you want to do this course and why specifically in canada and not in your own homecountry

Ideally the best degree would be an MBA to really lead to career advancement versus a college course in business.

MBAs are primarily for students with no business background. Many of these college courses in management do not actually lead to career benefit in Canada. Given that OP is a marketing executive many of the degrees listed would not lead to career advancement. Not even sure an MBA would lead to career advancement if he/she is already at an executive level.

oh okay but that just makes it less likely for him to get visa guess he will have to explain alot
