Hello,

I have significant work experience in IT industry with 20+ years of experience and doing well in my job. I have always wanted to do my Masters and plan to take a short sabbatical from work.

I am interested in the MMA program at Queens. Can anyone shed light on this program?

Also I have visa related questions, did anyone successfully get international student visa for this program?

I my opinion,

You should apply for the PR,

Once you get the PR, you can apply for Masters in Queens,

There are 2 benefits:-

1) You will be a permanent resident there, and can work full time without any restriction
2) You will not have to pay hefty fees applApp for international fees, you will only pqy 1/4 of the fees.

Also, as your studys gap is 20 yaers, its is very difficult to get a study permit

Best of luck

Study gap can be overcomes but with your expertise you can go for a PR and get my cheaper rates. Although if you don't want to leave the country you are in you can always give a justification for the course and how it builds up your knowledge. There are people who have bigger study gaps who get in college or universities.

Thanks selvakk and sumesthkr. Unfortunately I dont meet the points needed for express entry program

Hence my question on the MMA program. Any international student who got admitted? did you also get work permit for the duration of the course?

I know many students at Queen's (Smith), Schulich, and UoT doing their Master's in Analytics. They get their study permits for the duration of the course.
