Maintaining residency on both US and Canadian side - Contact

I remember seeing in some post that there is a user here on Canadavisa.com that was able to maintain residency in both US and Canada at the same time. Does anyone the username of that user?
Just wanted to find out how he was able to achieve it

Residency in simplistic term means where you sleep and dwell most time. How could do that in two places at the same time and why do you want to maintain residence in two places?

Any attempts like this might also create unnecessary complications during your Canadian citizenship.
