Hello people,
From the trend of issuance of visas from Accra, I am expecting to be notified by August 2013.I applied in August 2011. It seems to me Accra takes two years to process FSW visas.:(

I want some clarification to an issue of mine and I was wondering if anybody could help align my thoughts in the right direction so I can take the necessary actions if necessary:

I am currently a student in the US and I am expected to finish in 2016-17 :( Assuming I am issued with the FSW visa next year, how do I maintain my FSW visa until I am done with school? Is there a way out? Do I have to email the Accra Consulate about my current situation?

Any thoughts on this will be highly appreciated. Thanks.Merry Christmas to you all.

Once your FSW visa is issued, you must come to Canada (land) and become a permanent resident before the PR visa expires. Extensions are not granted. Use it or lose it.

Once you have landed and become a PR, you must live in Canada two out of every five rolling years to keep your PR status. There are no exceptions or exemptions granted for students. You must still meet the residency requirement to keep your PR status.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the insight!!!! what does living in Canada for two years means? Does that mean you must live in Canada continuously for two years??

No - the two years doesn't have to be continuous.
