Hello everyone!

I've got a quick question regarding spousal sponsorship applications. My husband and I have spent months filling out the forms and compiling all our evidence. Currently the entire application is with my husband who lives in Canada. We've only got a couple of bits and pieces to finalise the application and it will be ready to be sent off to the Mississauga office.

My question is about compiling all parts of the application into a single file / folder and mailing it off to Mississauga. We had recently got a folder consisting of about 10 sleeves; into which we had organised the application into subdivided sleeves. But then we heard that we aren't allowed to send the application in that format; but I'm not sure what the alternative permissible option is.

Is there a particular format, or a specific type of folder into which any of the previous applicants on this forum have put their applications into and mailed it off to Mississauga in? Or do people just put everything into a huge envelope in the right order and send it off? (I'm a bit uncomfortable about the latter option - as our application is about 350-400 pages long, and so I can't imagine putting it all in a huge envelope as a pile of loose paper!)

Any information / examples / photos of previous applications would be highly appreciated!
Thanks a lot in advance for your help and guidance!

Hi, we used this format...thanks to Pelipeli :)

Yes, that links to the long version of "the 3 envelope" format which seems to be the most popular:
- one for sponsor forms and docs;
- one for applicant forms and docs; and
- one for genuineness of relationship proofs and docs;

Great, that's a lot of help! That's what we'll be doing then.

Thanks a lot for your help and good luck with your applications! :)
