Mailing envelope one business day before opening acceptance date

Hello, I am wondering for family sponsorship that CIC starts accepting apps January 2, it is acceptable to send in the envelope one business day before January 2? with limited number of apps accepted I want to make sure i make the cut so to say.

Should be safe enough. There's no indication on CIC's website that they will be looking at the date of the postmark. It specifically says "received".

I agree with truesmile, better leave enough time for it to arrive..especially if ur using canada post
