My husband and I are temporarily living in an apartment, so prefer to list my parent's address as our mailing address for any correspondence with CIC as we will likely move in the next 6-8 months. Is it wrong to list my parent's address as our present address even though not technically living there?

don't think it is matter.
as long as you can receive a letter from CIC.

p.s VO normally contact you through email while they process your file.

We used my sister's address in Canada just to make sure nothing was lost. Neither my husband or I are in Canada at the moment. Don't think it has been an issue.
