Made a large mistake on a form and did not realize it until I sent it in.

Hello I am applying to be sponsored by my wife. I live in the United States and she is a Canadian citizen.

We sent our package in a few weeks ago and are still awaiting our AOR. Reviewing my documents I realized that I never corrected a form that needed to be changed. Unfortunately the form is regarding being turned away from the Canadian border. I entered an incorrect date and did not provide an explanation. I am horrified by my mistake and the visa office viewing this as a misrepresentation of information. I can not find any answers on what to do regarding the form. I tried contacting the IRCC but I have had no luck. If anyone has any information or advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Try calling them.

Dial 1-888-242-2100. After the recorded introduction, you will be asked to choose a menu option. Navigate through the options by pressing 3 and then 4, and then 0.

Also, make sure that the form that needs to be corrected/resubmitted has NOT been updated by IRCC since you sent the original.
