My application was received by CIO on June 21, 2010.

CIC Webpage states:

NOTE: Processing times for Federal Skilled Worker applications received on or after June 26, 2010, are not yet available. For applications sent before June 26, 2010, the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia, is currently working on applications received up to June 10, 2010.

Am I to interpret this as applications from June 11, 2010 - June 25, 2010 are on hold? Does this mean first AOR will take longer than usual? Please advise and thanks.

Hi,

This means that are currently looking at the applications received uptil 10th June. As your application was received on 21st June its not yet opened by CIC and it will take about 1 or 2 weeks when they start looking at the application received after 10th June.

Cheers

CIO has given a timeline, they are currently working on application upto 10 June. So what's the problem. Why are you imagining things....?
Next week it will move further up, maybe upto 25 June. So that's routine.
Since April the 1st AOR is taking around 90-110 days to come. So expect yours in that much time, if all is well.

Yukon,

No problem, just a question. I say 4 months because once they open applicattion it takes between 2 - 3 months for fisrt AOR. 2 months have already passed and they have not opened application, so once they do open it, then it will take 2 or 3 more months for first AOR. Just want to know were I stand.

who says it takes 2-3 months after they open the application. It takes less than a week once they start processing. e.g. people who sent their documents around 10 june are already getting the AORs this week. So don't worry your time is coming in few weeks maximum. Hope you will have your first AOR before Eid :)
