Hello,

I am married 31 year old with a baby.

I have been trying unsuccessfully to complete the application questionnaire, it always comes up as ineligible even though it never asks about language experience. When I add up prospective English test scores, my education, and professional experience (NOC code 5125) I end up with over 67 points, but the questionnaire always comes up negative. I have completed it at least dozens of times.

That said, if we check applications numbers at the [ca.gov website where you can check them] (links not allowed sorry) we see that there have been very few applications this year. Have some criteria changed? Is their web-form broken and this is causing people no to apply? I think I will be accepted but I do not want to waste the application fee if I am indeed ineligible for some reason.

Can anyone offer some advice on what to do next? My work is freelance based and will be able to support myself in Canada on arrival. We meet the 17k or whatever family wealth level... I don't see what the hold up is.

Please help,
Thank you for your time!

Do not do any online assessment tests, check your eligibility yourself with help of IMM 7000 guide: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp

The numbers reflected at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp are not relevant as they are not up to date. Currently they are processing the applications received by CIO on and before 13th of May, there are many other packages waiting in a queue. But your NOC doesn't seem to be that 'hot' so you can apply and still be within caps.

Good luck.
