I think I might have lost my study permit recently. I do have a scanned copy of it and all though and I plan to apply for a PGWP in a few months. I heard when getting a new on, I need documents, which I have a passport but do I need a drivers license?
As well, I am applying for online volunteer positions which are temporary and paid, does my scanned copy suffice?

If you are being paid then it is not a volunteer job. Volunteer jobs are unpaid. Are you authorized to work off campus and have a SIN number? Replace your study permit.

Yes it does
is a soft copy ok?
second, when applying for a new study permit, do I need someone to certify my passport or birth certificate copy as an international student
To get a SIN, it states on the site what documents you must provide along with your study permit. Why do you need a new study permit? I thought you just need a replacement.

I need a replacement, yes
but with my soft copy, is it fine for now for me to work?
also, do I need my birth certificate to be notarized or not
