HERE IS MY SITUATION...
I am a US Permanent Resident (Pakistani Nationality) and I married my husband who is a Canadian citizen in September 2013 in a civil marriage. We put in our papers for him to sponsor me to Canada earlier this month. This year in September 2014 is our church wedding and I plan to visit him a month earlier in August 2014. My question is
1) How long can I stay in Canada if I visit him in August 2014 and want to stay through my wedding, without losing my US PR?
2) Should I apply for US citizenship while my application for Canadian PR is in process just so that I am allowed to re-enter US if Canadians do not let me stay more than 6 months? or
3) Should I apply for a re-entry permit to US? or
4) Should I apply for a temporary resident visa to Canada ?
