But unless you are immigrating from Australia, it won't directly impact the funds that you have to prove or your savings transfer :)

People carrying Aussie doesn't have to be immigrating from Australia! Many people hold multi currencies in their bank accounts too.

Actually one of my friends immigrated to Canada from Perth, WA. To be with his wife :)
 
Yes, this makes me unhappy -as all our funds are US funds -so hubby will start working in a month IN Canada and save money there whilst I spend here in the US while our house sells. At some point, we will though - lose money, with the sale of our home and transfer of those funds and retirement accounts, investments, ect.
