Hello all,

My husband sponsored me. After I got visa then I moved to Canada in October 2012, got PR. My husband is Canadian Citizenship.

I studied Masters in Economics with two distinctions awarded and post graduate diploma in Information Technology from Pakistan. After studied, I was working a job as Administrative Assistant from Pakistan for 4 years. I am working as a freelancer (remote work) since 2006 from now and have excellent feedback/ reviews by clients.

Now I need a good job in order to get good earning.

I do not have ICAS (International Credential Assessment Service in Canada, Do I require ICAS and/or any other credential to apply job? If so, please let me know.

Does ICAS very important before applying a job?

Please advice.

ICAS is not required by employers, however it is required for attending any bridging programs for internationally educated professionals.

Thank you for your reply.

Are you sure, if I get into this bridging programs, will I get job? Does everyone have similar experiences in this program?

There is no guarantee to get a job, but i would recommend attending bridging programs which are focused on your field , it will help you understand the Canadian work culture, how to present yourself in interviews, some even arrange networking events and invite potential employers..etc.

I got a job a few months after completing a bridge course.
