Hello everyone,

Looking for advice from anyone who may me more knowledgable than I am.

I applied for PR (Spousal Sponsor Outland) in 2013. Recently got denied due to a $50 fine I picked up some years previous in Nova Scotia. I have a wife and baby here so naturally I have filed for an appeal and I have submitted another extension to my visitors visa. I've also put in a request to our Minister who has forwarded that to the Minister of Immigration. Hopefully this will lead somewhere but in the meantime, our funds are dwindling.

I'm eager to work but cant. So here is my question. In the time that I have been here, I have been able to do certain things, like speak at events, or universities and get paid but thats about it. Is it possible for my wife to start a business, self employed or w/e and I work with her but receive no wage. In short, basically she would be the front, I would do the bulk of the work, she gets paid and keeps her full time job...

I'm an events professional if job type makes any difference.

Thanks for any input you can provide.

No - certainly not possible. If you do this you will be working illegally which makes you a candidate for deportation. Doesn't matter if you are being paid or not. It will still be classified as illegal work. Don't make your problems worse than they already are.

There's more to this than you've stated. What was the offence and/or they claiming misrepresentation? Any offence that makes you inadmissible for PR, probably makes you inadmissible for a TRV as well.

He's already been working illegally, which only adds to the problem now.
