Hey everyone!

This Thursday, I am going to be visiting my wife (my sponsor) that lives in canada (I live in America) and I will be visiting for about 1.5 months.

I was wondering if this will be an issue at all when going through customs. Normally, when customs asks me why I am visiting Canada I just say, "I am visiting my wife for the weekend." But as of right now, I have about 1.5 months free from anything so I was planning to go up north to be with my wife for the whole 1.5 months.

When I return back to America I will be attending Fall term of college so I was planning of bringing my class schedule for proof of me attending school. Would this be enough for them to not harass me too much? I know their worry would be me trying to stay in Canada and not go home.

Also, another side question is: What happens if when I am over with her in Canada for the 1.5 months and in the middle of that time what if CIC asks me for my passport? Would I need to go home sooner then send them my passport? Or how does that work?

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions so I don't get harassed? :)

Hi

You are still just visiting. As you have a sponsorship app in process, you should have no issues. Take your school enrollment just in case and have proof of the PR app and finances.

You will not send your actual passport. You just send a photocopy.
