EVEN I HAVE SENT MY PASSPORT TO CHC LONDON ON 28th MAY MAY BE THERE IS A POSTAL DELAY IN RECIEVING CAN I KNOW WHERE YOU ARE LOCATED , IN THE MIDDLE EAST THEY SEND THE PP BACK BY COURIER AND REST BY REGISTERED POST.

The interview was just a routine quality assessment check of CHC offices and I was just "luckily" picked randomly out of the millions of applicants, lol. There was nothing wrong with my application and the VO said so as I entered the room for the interview.

Nice to see you back. I really hope those passports are on their way to Abu Dhabi by now.

Is it true that if a person can get a visit visa to UK and personally hand over the passport for stamping and receive it on the spot or after few hours...

I'm in Abu Dhabi and still patiently waiting. To be living here knowing that your passport is miles away is so not a good feeling if you know what I mean.

From what I know, it depends on what is written in your PPR. If CHC London asks you to courier them then that is what you should do; and if they ask you to hand them in personally then that is the only time you need to go there personally. I have not heard of anyone doing otherwise.

I would anytime prefer to fly to UK and hand my passports to them personlly...can't trust courier..anything can happen.

I've read somewhere in the forum that certain countries' passports are not allowed to be mailed out of their respective countries. I would think this is not the same for all. CHC would not instruct you to do so if it were illegal as you say. Besides, so many have gone through the whole process including the couriering of their passports and all of them are in possession of their visas already.

Hi All,

I too think of visiting London for a week on a tourist visa.. so that I can submit passport for visa stamping. But I should get the assurance from CHC that I will get my passport back within a week. otherwise I will be stranded!!! Applicants like me is not working in home country and as several applicants mentioned... there is risk of staying in an alien country without passport.... may be for weeks or months!!!

Guys are there waiting for passports for months!! Anyways now am not confusing myself... lets wait for passport request... which will take another 3-5 months as per present time line of London...

But in the Forum I understand that more than 90% of the applicants sent passport through courier only...

Without passport staying in other than home country for longer time is difficult
