I would like to know if a friend of mine can provide security(like property papers) to get education loan for studying in Canada. Is this possible, if yes than please share more details like which documents will be required.

Note: - I have asked for another question, please look into that as well.

I'm afraid this is a question only banks can answer. Suggest you identify the bank(s) from where you want to take the loan and approach them directly. Good luck!

Two conditions if its your friend (India) & your bank is SBI.

1. Loan must be in between 4 to 7.50 lacs.
2. Parent annual income must exceed 3 times the required loan.

Try with HDFC Credilia they process loan very fast and easy manner and they give loans upto 12 lacks without mortgage if your family income is more than 40k per month ( you can take any family member as co-obligant ) and your father as co-applicant.Credilia dont accept third party security. Dont try Canara bank and SBI as they wont give loan for PG Diploma i got rejected after all processing ..!! For any other banks you can try giving your frndz mortgage they give loan till 7.5 lacks with his security.
