loan for university

hi..
I am planning to go canada this sept. i got admission in university... Can any1 tell me whether educ loan is must for university visa application??
i have to show more thn 20 lakhs.. Can i show 10-11 lakhs cash in dad's bnk account and rest from GPF/post office saving etc... m quite confused. as i dont have any property on behave of which i can get my loan santion.. plz help

Per my understanding - having a loan letter from an approved bank in India is preferable for Visa application. At least th CIC and the VFS website states that. My interaction with the senior members of this forum also leads me to believe that having a educational loan from local bank is good for Visa application.
