My Latvian gf has been living with me since May 26, 2011. She got a 1 year work permit through a Work and Holidays Visa program. We have been living together continuously since then. Her work permit expires on May 30th, 2012, but we are going to apply for common law (outland, due to the lower processing times) after May 27th. Where my gf works they offer LMO's and her boss is going to be getting her one but they take 2-4 months most of the time to my understanding. My question is, if she gets an LMO through her boss to continue working here for at least one year, will we still be able to apply for common law via outside of Canada? I've tried searching online but most of the answers surrounding this are pretty vague.
