If you call Service Canada, they tell you that it the average LMO processing time takes 8 weeks. By 'average', they're referring to all LMOs whether it's for high-skilled, low skilled, seasonal agricultural or live-in caregiver jobs. It sounds to me like you're in the live-in caregiver program. In that case, all LMOs for your job take the same amount of time. All live-in caregiver LMO applications from all over Canada are processed at a single center in Ontario. Lately, I've seen a lot of people saying that their LMO for the caregiver program are taking less than 8 weeks. Standard waiting times for LMOs for most other jobs take about 12 - 16 weeks. If Service Canada is suspicious of your employer and doing extra investigations, it can take up to 6 months.
