Firstly, thank you to anyone who responds to this. I know I am lucky just to have the LMO and job in place.

My question: Can I work a second, part time job that will not do the LMO paperwork? Will doing so
jeprodize my LMO paperwork?

Background:(As this might help others.) Original student visa, then open work permit.
Through bad advise/ignorance thought I was eligible to apply for PR.
Then, at final moment, found out that CIC counts my profession as "contract work",
and as such, deemed my three years of (more than) full time work ineligible to count towards PR application.
Three jobs - none would agree to do LMO paperwork. By shear luck, and paying money,
lawyer convinced one job to do paperwork. LMO came through, I was told to quit all other jobs.

Current situation/question: Now, I have been offered a Part Time term position with one former employer, whose organization simply has a policy NOT to do paperwork for an LMO.

:o Will anybody know? Is this absolutely forbidden? I know there is some kind of work you can do without a work permit?
The work offered is in my "real" profession...and is difficult to turn down.
Appreciate feedback.

You cannot work the second job on the close work permit and LMO you have now. If you work the second job, you will be working illegally. So yes - it is absolutely forbidden because illegally is forbidden. There is no work you can do without a work permit. If you want to work the second job, your employer needs to obtain a LMO and then you need to obtain a new work permit. There is no alternative.

Scylla-

Thanks much for clarification.
I do not have the link, but to the best of my understanding
there are a FEW job categories that do not require permit.
I cede to you however as it is obvious you have more knowledge
than I.

I have seen this information re: such lack of need for permits for a (very few) jobs
on one link at this site, and also last year when I was deeply perusing the CIC
information and speaking with attorney about the subject last year. (I ended up using one of the best and largest firms - much to my chagrin.)
Anyhow, I appreciate your prompt response it was a great help. Thank you.

Yes - there's a list of jobs that do not require a work permit. However that list is very limited.

Another caution against taking the second job - if you intend to apply for permanent residence, any unauthorized work is a reason to refuse the application -
