Lmia work permit

Hi can somebody help me please
My dad is in canada he has a super visa stamp on his passport and he he has a closed work permit (lmia work permit) without TRV stamp on his passport. He has to go india for an emergency does he need the work permit stamp or is the work permit gonna be still valid if he reenters after a month.

I did the same with my dad, he should be fine with the trv if he has closed work permit.
