Hi All,

Employee who recruited me said that they have applied for LMIA .
Its been like one month , i contacted the employer (HR team) they said that they have applied to government and still waiting for the reply.

They also said that usually to get the info (like accepted or rejected ) in 2 weeks but its has been a month.

Guys , any idea what's happening.

Thanks in Advance

~SK

Many people here have waited over four months for an LMIA to be approved. What you're experiencing is normal.

You haven't been waiting very long at all. It's not unusual for LMIA processing to take four months. There is nothing you can do but wait.

The LMIA is just one step of the process. You have to apply for the work permit separately. You would then have to apply for PR separately as well. You will have to research Canada's immigration programs to determine if you qualify to apply for PR and what it takes to submit an application. Having a job in Canada doesn't guarantee that you will qualify for PR or be selected for immigration.
