LMIA as restaurant manager noc 0631

Good morning. This lmia its not for me but for my friend . The consultant applied 14 Nov 2014 and they told him about 6-8 weeks. So maybe next year...
He has one question.It was published in the ad that it is necessary to have food safety certificate.
So my friend passed the food course certificate and also he passed first aid kit,cpr certificate and liquer certificate.
What you believe that he will take more "points" in comparison with someone with the food certificate only?

Yes, surely it would be an added advantage to your friend. Would you mind sharing your friend's job description for NOC 0631 ? just give me an idea of how job description should be for NOC 0631.

Your friend's training will have little bearing on whether or not the company is issued a LMIA. Remember the LMIA is more about the need for a foreign worker and not the worker themself. If there ate other qualified Canadians his extra training won help. His qualifications are more important when it cimes to applying for the work permit itself.

If you have nomination you do not need an LMIA. You are good to apply for the work pemit. LMIA or Nomination only one thing is required. Since you are already nominated you dont require an LMIA.

I have been nominated through the SINP & it has been approved.However I am eager to get to Canada ASAP and have been told I can get a work permit upon landing in a Canadian airport once I bring my documents with me.Has anyone done this?Applying to my local visa office will delay my process.Cheers

For some specific countries you can do that. Where you from?
