Does the lmai need to be for a skilled occupation inorder to be eligible to secure points for express entry.i am working as pcw which comes under (noc c ) category. Thanks

Yes - it needs to be for a NOC A, B or 0 occupation to get points under Express Entry. You'll get zero points for an LMIA for a NOC C job.
