Hi,

Me and my wife live in the US and we intend to spend some weeks of holidays. My wife has special needs and has a live-in caregiver here in the US. Her care-giver is Australian, does he need to have a visa to accompany my wife in canada for vacations ?

Thanks,

Julien

He needs to apply for an ETA.

As Canuck78 says if the care giver is an Australian they are visa free for Canada but if flying in from the US they will need to apply for an ETA to board a plane destined for Canada, 7 dollars for 5 years, so make sure is the official site. If travelling across land border no ETA required. Of course for the return trip into the US make sure care givers documentation is complete to reenter the US
