Hi,

I have started living in Quebec but I study in Ontario in uOttawa & I want to apply for PR.
Will living in Quebec create any impact in my PR application/procedure?
If so what are the possible solutions to ease my PR process?

As uOttawa is close to Quebec which explains my residence in Quebec and should be understandable by the PR evaluator.

Please suggest

Yes, it will have an impact. During the processing of your application you will receive a request to write a letter of intent, you must them explain and provide proof if possible of your intention to reside outside the province of Quebec.

You mean I may need to provide a proof of my intention to reside in the province of Quebec and not in Ontario?
Can I explain that Quebec is very close to uOttawa and thats why I choose to live in Quebec?
Is there any other solution because If I pay tax under both Ontario and Quebec than why this shall be a problem?

Ok let's get clear about this, are you applying to PR via Express Entry or via the Quebec immigration program?

Via express entry, I just found a good place to live in Quebec close to university of Ottawa which is Ontario thats why I choose to live in Quebec.

Then it is about your intention of residing OUTSIDE the province of Quebec, that is, literally your intention to reside in any other province but Quebec. This is a requirement in order to apply via Express Entry.

You are free to use such explanation (being close to university) but IMO that is not a strong argument in which you state your intention of residing outside of Quebec.

"Other requirements
  1. You must be admissible to Canada. Find out more about inadmissibility
  2. You must plan to live outside the province of Quebec"

Also, in the Post-ITA forms if you choose any city within Quebec as the intended place where you wish to live then your application will be cancelled for not meeting the Express Entry criteria.

So when applying for PR how much time before should I leave Quebec and enter Ontario to show my last xx number of months residence in Ontario?

There isn't a set time, if you're living in Ontario by the time you submit your e-APR then you'd be fine.

Yep bud it will be a problem, the fact that you are "living" there is your intention even if you want to be in another location. The way how officers consider your file are by your actions and Quebec has its own program. It will be a red flag in the system. I would suggest moving before 6 months or staying and switching to Quebec program.
