Hey every one, hubby and I are currently filling out our forms, and the section on IMM5490E is confusing.
My husband is the person coming to Canada from the US, and I am his sponsor. Question 28 asks if he is currently living with his sponsor - which he is not - he's back in the US - but then it asks when his sponsor has returned to Canada? ???

I don't get it? LOL

He has lived with me for short time spans as well here in Canada...so I'm assuming that he would fill that in for question 27?

Thanks!

27. Fill in any dates you have spent together for question 27. Continue on a separate sheet of paper if there are a lot of periods.

28. If you have ever been to visit him, put the return date from YOUR last visit with him as the date you returned to Canada.

So even when he was only visiting for a week or two, include those as him living with me?

Yes, include all time spent together, even if it was for only a week, or was in a hotel, or whatever. While it is true this is not the normal definition of 'living together', on many appeal cases you can see the judge expects any cohabitation to be mentioned here, even if it is for a very short time.
If you list all these short times together, and explain clearly that one time was just for a week, another was just for 5 days on vacation at a hotel, and so on, then the VO can decide for him/herself whether this is cohabitation.
